Making Better Dishes

How committed are you to creating interesting, delicious foods? I began thinking more seriously about honing my cooking abilities a few years back, and it was really cool to me to see how much happier it made my family. Night after night, I would prepare dishes that I knew everyone would love, and it was really neat to me to see our little family growing closer together. I decided to start a website completely dedicated to cooking better foods for your family, so you should check it out. I know that a lot of these tips have helped me along the way.

Fixes For Common Coffee Pod Complaints

Is the coffee from your coffee pod too weak? Too strong? A little stale? Not a large enough volume? Some people stop using coffee pods entirely because they have one of these complaints. But coffee pods are so convenient and easy to use. It's worth doing a little problem solving to make them work better for you, and luckily, none of the problems listed above are that tough to solve.

Too Weak

If you like really strong coffee, there are two ways to get it from a K-cup. First, you can try brewing the K-cup coffee in the smallest setting. Adding less water to the coffee results in a stronger flavor. If that amount of coffee is not enough for you, then you can change the pod and brew a second batch into your mug, once again using the smallest setting.

The other option is to look for "extra strong" coffee pods. These are filled with a little extra coffee so that your brew comes out stronger.

Too Strong

If your K-cup coffee is stronger than you like it, then check what setting you're brewing on. If you're on the smallest setting or the mediums setting, start brewing on the largest setting. The more water pushed through the coffee beans, the weaker the end result. If even this coffee is a little too strong, then add a little extra boiling water after you brew.

A Little Stale

Coffee can stay fresh inside K-cups for a while, but not forever. If your coffee tastes stale, check the "best by" or "sell by" date. To ensure you always have a fresh cup, avoid buying your coffee pods in bulk. Instead, buy just enough for about one month at a time.

Not Enough

Is the largest setting on the K-cup brewer not large enough for you? Maybe it only brews 12 ounces, and you really need 16 to start the day. The easiest solution is to buy a large mug. One that is extra wide rather than extra tall should fit under the brewer better. Then, brew two cups of coffee into that mug, one after the other. You'll have plenty to start the day!

Small K-cup problems are typically quite easy to solve. Enjoy your coffee, and have a great start to the day.
